Further to our recent emails on COVID-19, new guidelines will take effect Monday 23rd March 2020.
This week Prime Minister Scott Morrison said “strict new bans on large gatherings to slow the spread of COVID-19 did not apply to supermarkets, food markets, grocery shops, retail outlets and shopping centres”, so, yippee, that includes us!
Our aims are to keep our members and volunteers protected as much as possible and to keep the co-op open. Please keep in mind that at any stage we might need to temporarily close.
We heard this week of a couple of Sydney co-ops which have closed temporarily and we hope that with the above measures in place, FIG will continue to trade. The community of FIG is a great one and we are sure you will understand and happily embrace these new methods of operating “for as long as it takes”.
